About Us
Jill Lam PH.D., LPCC-S
 Dr. Jill Lam has dedicated herself and her career by helping others "see the forest through the trees." Her private practice, Forest Alliance Coaching Ltd is designed to continue this path by providing support and guidance through appropriate diagnosing, coaching, and counseling. Dr. Lam's therapeutic approach is eclectic and centers on the client's needs. It is based on an understanding that each person is a unique individual with his/her own perceptions based on personal and cultural experiences. Therapeutic approaches are influenced by positive psychology, Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, with an emphasis on the healing power of counselor-client relationship.
Dr. Lam has over 25 years of experience in counseling, coaching, and diagnosing. She has a BA in Psychology, a MS.Ed in Counselor Education with a specialization in Clinical Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Educational Psychology. She is a Supervising Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is a Life Strategies Coach with extensive experience motivating and encouraging others to achieve their goals. Dr. Lam is also a psycho-educational diagnostician so she looks at a full picture (educational, social, and emotional) of the person during evaluations to obtain a comprehensive understanding of each individual that comes to her for diagnostic evaluations. She has intensive training in diagnosing: ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Asperger's, Twice Exceptional, Anxiety, Depression & other hidden disabilities. Once she completes a psycho-educational evaluation she not only educates parents on how the diagnosis was obtain but she also attends a school meeting with the parents.
Dr. Lam is available for and experienced in leading workshops, staff-development trainings, webinars, and retreats. She is also available as a supervisor for Professional Counselors and Professional Clinical Counselors.
